The Westcountry Game & Equine Festival is amongst the first of the great regional game fairs in the calendar and is set to return on Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th March 2011 at the Bath and West Showground, Shepton Mallet. This long established event, regularly attended by over 20,000 visitors, allows those with a passion for rural life to come together in celebration of this special and diverse lifestyle. This year, not only will there be the addition of an equestrian arena featuring top named riders, stallion parades and more but the show will also include Smallholders South West (supported by Somerset Smallholders). This part of the show will feature lectures, alpacas, pigs, sheep, local produce and more.
From fishing to shooting and traditional crafts, right through to delicious locally produced food, the show will undoubtedly offer something which appeals to everyone, both young and old.
